To make easy gold, press the ~ key and then enter the following: “player->additem gold_001x” (minus the quotes) where x = the amount of gold you want. Naturally, holding down the 9 key until it stops will give you the most gold you can get with this cheat, but you can do the cheat over and over again to fill your pockets.

It is legal to attack someone who attacks you first, and this gives you the perfect loophole. If you taunt someone into fighting you, you may kill them and loot them without getting arrested. Do this to shopkeepers and you can loot expensive goods from their stores.
